Professors and researchers from the GICITED research group and participants in the SAVASCO project talk about the new materials at UPC Dialogues
On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, the UPC Dialogues are being organized periodically: small talks on different topics related to the fields of lecturing and research at the UPC.
On April 28, the topic was the new materials and the event was attended by researchers from the GICITED group and participants in the SAVASCO project.
Mariana Palumbo took part in the first session, entitled “A decarbonised society”, while Inmaculada Rodríguez, Ana María Lacasta and Laia Haurie did so in the second, entitled “Sustainability and new technologies”.
The day dealt with the problem of current building materials with respect to the environment and how with bio-based materials, similar benefits can be achieved by betting on their research.
