The SAVASCO project resulted in the construction of two prototypes with construction products developed in the POCTEFA territory, on both sides of the Pyrenees. In May 2022, two inauguration events were organized for these prototypes that allowed SAVASCO’s results to be presented to the public and thus mark the end of the project.
On May 6, 2022, at the campus of the ETSAV (Escola Técnica Superior d’Arquitectura del Vallès) in Sant Cugat del Vallès, the prototype designed by the Spanish partner teams of SAVASCO, among which there is the cooperative of eco-construction COECO and under the direction of the cooperative of architects ARQBAG was inaugurated. This event brought together 67 people, including professors-researchers, construction professionals, public authorities and journalists, to attend the presentation of the construction systems implemented in this house. The day ended with the interventions of the scientific manager of the SAVASCO project at the UPC, Mariana Palumbo, deputy director of infrastructures at the UPC, Jordi Ros, urban planning advisor of the Sant Cugat del Vallès City Council, Francesc Duch, and the secretary of the ETSAV, Joan Puigdomènech.
The last event of SAVASCO was held on May 17, 2022 and brought together all the partners of the project for the inauguration of the prototype built at the IUT of Tarbes by the SCOP Terre de Bois, and for the presentation of the results and the official closure of the project. This day was successfully developed in a cross-border context with French and Spanish participants and brought together around 90 people. The presentations of the results (beside) by the project members, as well as the guided tours of the prototype, the LMDC laboratories and the Halle Agromat of the Toulouse INP, were organized in French and Spanish thanks to the translators present throughout the day.

The SAVASCO project team would like to thank all partners and participants who took part in the project through the meeting days, webinars and final events. We inform you that all project results will be published on the SAVASCO website in the “Project Results” section.
In addition, to ensure continuity between the SAVASCO project and future initiatives that allow the development of the sector of valorization of corn and sunflower co-products for construction, a dedicated space has been created on this same website to create a database of stakeholders who have worked, are working or want to work on the subject. If you are a farmer, researcher, builder, architect, or even a supporter of this project, go to the “Stakeholders Network” section to create your profile, fill in your activity and thus allow future exchanges with the other actors of the network
